Four Dirac-Equipped Products Recognized By EISA For Their Excellence In Audio

Swedish sound pioneer Dirac today announced that four products equipped with Dirac solutions have been recognized for their excellence in audio by EISA – the Expert Imaging and Sound Association. The annual EISA Awards are widely viewed as the audio industry’s most prestigious, and are judged by technical experts from over 60 leading magazines and websites in 29 countries around the world.

2019 EISA winners include the Focal Astral 16 for Home Theatre – High-End; the NAD T 758 V3 for Premium Home Theatre Receiver; the NAD M10 for Best Smart Amplifier; and the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 for Best Buy Smartphone.

“As premium digital audio technology becomes more prevalent across all major consumer product categories, Dirac has become the industry’s go-to solutions provider for leading brands such as Focal, NAD, and Xiaomi,” stated Dirac CEO Mathias Johansson. “We’re thrilled to see our customers so deservingly recognized for their excellence in product performance and we’re proud of the fact that our digital sound optimization solutions contributed to their success.”

The winners include:

  • Focal Astral 16: Mixing 12-channel power with 16-channel processing, the Astral 16 is a one-box solution for high-end theatre systems offering comprehensive calibration possibilities and a reference-grade performance. Dirac Live tackles room/speaker correction across the full audio range.

  • NAD T 758 V3: With a seven-channel design expandable to 7.1.4 via external amplification, the NAD T 758 V3 implements Dirac Live to achieve best-in-class room correction.

  • NAD M10: This best-in-class amplifier features streaming music services, with BluOS allowing multiroom playback with Bluesound products, Bluetooth and AirPlay 2, plus digital and analogue inputs, an HDMI-ARC connection for TV sound, and Dirac Live room correction for sound optimization.

  • Xiaomi Redmi Note 7: The high-quality, budget-friendly smartphone features a 48-megapixel rear camera supported by a 5-megapixel depth sensor for bokeh effects; Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 660 chipset allied to 4GB RAM and 64GB built-in storage; and Dirac Power Sound speaker optimization and Dirac HD Sound headphone optimization.

“The integration of high-quality hardware and advanced digital sound optimization solutions unlocks the full potential of a sound system’s performance; this is true across all consumer tech products, from high-end speakers and home theatre systems to smartphones and headphones,” concluded Johansson. “These market-leading manufacturers understand this, which is a key reason why their products have been recognized with such a prestigious award.”
