Stampede Renews its Gold Sponsorship of Sandy Mitchell Racing!

Stampede, the global leader in value-added Pro AV distribution, today announced that it has renewed its Gold Sponsorship of the Sandy Mitchell Racing team, according to Stampede President and COO Kevin Kelly and Driver Sandy Mitchell.

“Having been named the youngest driver ever to win a British GT race, on top of setting a new British GT4 lap record, Sandy races on the track the same way Stampede serves its customers — fast and in a winning way,” said Kelly. “We are proud to renew our sponsorship of the Sandy Mitchell Racing team for the 2018 season, once again extending our local market impact across the UK and Europe by continuing our winning partnership on the track.”

As a Gold Sponsor of Sandy Mitchell Racing for the 2018 racing season, Stampede will receive prime logo branding on the Sandy Mitchell Racing website, helmet, race suit, and on the “Lamborghini Huracan GT3 race car” ran by Barwell Motorsport. Stampede will also receive VIP tickets to races throughout the season, which will be put to good use according to Kelly. “Once again, Stampede will have the opportunity to emphasize the link between racing culture and the Stampede sales team – a high level of performance. We look forward to bringing our resellers from around the world to events throughout the season, so that they can witness what it takes to win in another highly competitive, performance driven environment.”

According to Sandy Mitchell, “Stampede possesses the winning spirit and drive for success that the Sandy Mitchell Racing team values, and we’re honored and thrilled to have them as a sponsor for the second year in a row. We look forward to another great racing season with the Stampede team!

First up on Sandy’s race roster is the 2018 Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup, which runs over five events across Europe. The objective of the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup, consisting of five events centered around 24 hours of Spa, is to take the GT3 cars into endurance racing formats of three hours with two mandatory pit stops. The Series is reserved for GT3 cars, applying the principles of Balance of Performance, and comprises the title of Blancpain GT Series Winner for drivers and one title of Blancpain Series Winner for teams.

Sandy Mitchell has achieved a great deal of success in the world of motorsport in a remarkably short period of time. A multiple Scottish and British karting Champion and youngest ever Scottish single-seater race winner Sandy has been described as “arguably the most exciting young driver in Scotland.” His front running pace and results caught the attention of McLaren GT and he grabbed the massive opportunity to race and develop the brand new McLaren 570S during the 2016 British GT Championship. He became the youngest driver ever to compete and win races in the history of British GT at only 16.
