Virtual Reality Becomes a Commercial Reality for ProAV Dealers at InfoComm 2016

ProAV resellers and integrators can experience virtual reality in ProAV settings as they learn how to make it a commercial reality for their business.

Leading manufacturers of traditional ProAV products are also present showcasing their latest solutions.

Demonstrating again how new technology can complement and expand the sales of traditional ProAV components, Stampede, North America’s largest distributor of UAV solutions, today announced it was turning its InfoComm 2016 booth into a complete Virtual Reality experience for ProAV resellers — one that combines demonstrations, product information, and first-hand interactions into one completely commercial experience.

“Our breakthrough distribution agreement with VRstudios marks a new milestone for the ProAV industry at InfoComm 2016,” Stampede President & COO Kevin Kelly said today. “Thanks to VRstudio’s revolutionary platform, it is possible for ProAV integrators to offer their customers a Virtual Reality solution designed for specific vertical markets and integrated into traditional ProAV product categories. Once again, Stampede is demonstrating how the development of new technology redefines and expands sales opportunities for traditional component suppliers.”

According to Kelly, Stampede has designed its entire InfoComm 2016 booth around the Virtual Reality experience. “That’s how big this opportunity is,” Kelly stressed. VRstudios is the industry’s premier global VR company offering unique VR content, experiences and solutions to the entertainment and commercial enterprise industries, through its unprecedented patent-pending platform and turn-key systems. VRstudios is the only VR company that offers a wireless head-mounted display and a collection of capabilities that includes full motion, simultaneous multiple users in the same physical and virtual space and 1:1 tracking – all to provide a fully immersive and interactive VR experience.

Turning to the more established list of manufacturers joining Stampede on its InfoComm 2016 exhibit, Kelly emphasized that every major product category is being represented —including recently acquired Just Lamps. “More than ever, Stampede is the global ProAV industry’s one stop source for everything they need to custom design and install an end-to-end, state-of-the-art system that includes everything needed to make the system operate seamlessly for customers,” he said. This year’s manufacturer highlights include:
